For GPs, rehabilitation providers and case managers

Refer a client and actually hear back

Slow communication is the usual complaint about psychologists. I have built the fix into how I work.

A written communication template and a set process mean your reports, updates and return-to-work input arrive when you need them. WorkCover QLD registered, telehealth (online), no wait list.

How I work with referrers

Timely communication

I use a built-in process and a written template to keep GPs, rehabilitation providers and case managers informed, so requests for a diagnosis, treatment plan, timeframes, barriers or progress do not sit unanswered.

Return-to-work focus

I understand the pressures on workers, rehab providers and referrers, including the barriers that stall a return to work. I will advocate for a client where it helps the outcome.

No wait list

Afternoon, evening and fortnightly Saturday appointments are currently available, and everything runs by telehealth (online) so distance is not a factor.

WorkCover QLD registered

Pending and approved claims, with billing handled directly. Clients are only charged for late cancellations and no-shows.

Who to send me

A good fit

●Adults with a WorkCover QLD claim, pending or approved●Psychological injury: bullying, overwork, work-related distress, assaults, robberies●Distress arising from a physical injury, including changes to function, income and work status●Persistent pain, including CRPS●Anxiety, stress, burnout, adjustment difficulties, uncomplicated PTSD●Return-to-work planning and workplace boundaries●Low-risk, low-complexity presentations

Not a good fit

●Anyone experiencing suicidal thoughts or at elevated risk●Crisis presentations needing a rapid response●Clients requiring complex multidisciplinary care or high-intensity support●WorkCover clients outside Queensland, and TAC clients●Significant eating disorders●Forensic assessments and reports

This is a solo telehealth (online) practice, so between-session capacity for calls and escalations is limited. If a client is not the right fit, I will provide onward referral options rather than leave you without a next step.

Two ways to refer

Send the referral form

Complete the form below and I will contact your client directly. Please make sure you have their consent first.

Send your client to booking

Point them at the online booking portal and they can choose a time themselves.

I will attempt to contact a referred client a maximum of three times. If I cannot reach them, I will let you know by email or fax, and their ongoing care returns to you.

Referral form

Please confirm your client has consented to this referral before sending their details.

I am unable to support clients experiencing high levels of risk. If that is the case here, send the referral anyway with the risk noted and I will come back with onward options.

Referrer questions

How quickly will my client be contacted?+

I contact new referrals directly and attempt contact up to three times. If I cannot reach them, you will be notified by email or fax and care returns to you.

What will I receive back?+

A diagnosis where relevant, an expected treatment plan with timeframes, and any concerns or barriers, using a written template so the information is consistent and usable. Case notes and further detail require the client’s consent.

Do you take pending WorkCover claims?+

Yes. Under a pending claim the first sessions are automatically approved, so your client can start without waiting on the claim outcome. They need a Work Capacity Certificate and a claim number.

Which states do you cover?+

Telehealth (online) sessions are available Australia-wide for private and Medicare clients. WorkCover clients are Queensland only, and I do not provide services for TAC.

Can you take on a high-risk client?+

No. This is a solo telehealth (online) practice without the capacity for high-intensity support, escalations or complex multidisciplinary care. Send the referral with the risk noted and I will provide onward options.

Are you registered and insured?+

I am a general psychologist registered with AHPRA, registered since 2019, a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi), and a registered WorkCover QLD provider.

I am not a crisis service. Bookings and messages are not monitored constantly, so I cannot respond quickly enough to an urgent mental health concern. If you need help now, please contact one of these services.

Book in, or ask a question first

Booking online is the fastest way in and there is no wait list. If you would rather ask something before committing, use the form and I will come back to you within two to three business days.
